What is covered by membership in the Acu-Care Natural Health Plan?
The Acu-Care Natural Health Plan includes all office visits to and by our staff, including the comprehensive Annual Health Assessment, follow-up examinations, all other in-office visits and consultations, and, if necessary, house calls and hospital visits. The plan also includes all other electronic and written communication with the practitioners and staff. The plan also includes any and all acupuncture therapy needed for symptomatic or preventative treatment or care. Chinese herbal medicine is also covered with a low co-pay of $10 per prescription.
Who can be a member of Acu-care?
We can take on any patient aged 16 years and older. We have patients who from all over the world and from all backgrounds of life. We believe that a personal connection with our patients is the best way to facilitate the quality care. Come in for a complimentary visit to see if membership is a fit for you. In certain circumstances, we reserve the right to refrain from taking on patients that would not be a good fit for the program. Will I still need my health insurance?
Yes, you will still need your health insurance to cover visits to your primary care physician, specialists, hospitals, diagnostic tests, and other essential western medical and healthcare services. Although the annual fee for our services is not covered by your health insurance, many people have found that membership fees are reimbursable under their company’s medical reimbursement, Health Savings Account, or Flexible Spending Account.
Do Ben and Masako have any specialties?
Ben and Masako run a family practice providing services to all sorts of diseases and conditions. However, they also have special training in preventive medicine and longevity arts, internal medicine, orthopedics, respiratory and digestive disorders, Chinese nutritional therapy, allergies, OBGYN, and sports medicine.
Are you really available everyday?
Yes, we are. That’s part of what your membership plan covers. You can even arrange a house call or have us visit you at your office if you cannot make it to ours. Upon enrollment you will be given our personal cell phone so that you can reach us by telephone, email, or text 365 days per year.
Do you take vacations?
Yes, but you are still covered. We plan on four weeks of vacation during the year, but will always give you advance written/email notice of our plans and dates. During that time, we will be available for telephone consultations but not face-to-face visits. A distinguished colleague covers our practice when we are on vacation so you still can be treated even if we are not in town.
What if I want to terminate my enrollment?
No problem. You may terminate your relationship with us for any reason. You will receive your prorated refund (minus a $250 administration fee) within 30 days of the date after receiving written notice of termination.
