Using ‘Spirits’ for herbal infusions...
Here are three recipes for herbal wines:
Warm Fingers & Toes
Adding some cinnamon twig, chuan xiong rhizome, and dang gui root with a few pieces of dried dates makes for a great herbal wine that can be drunk throughout the winter to help one’s circulation and keep the hands and feet warm.
Dang Gui Wine
This is a great wine for treating just about any kind of women’s problem. For women with bad cramps and fixed pain, adding some saffron makes for great results. If there is a cold sensation in the abdomen, or it feels cool to the touch, add some cinnamon twig.
Du Zhong Wine
Great for people with weak, sore, and painful backs that are worse with the cold weather or over work. (Du Zhong, or Eucommia is the inner bark of the rubber tree.)
